Rare Trophy Mountain Whitefish

I hit the Roaring Fork River yesterday with a friend. We didn't land a bunch of fish but did get into a few decent Browns 14"-16".The M.A. 20" close to 3 LB Whitefish was the big fish of the day.https://i.imgur.com/uSPBmAP.jpg

Nice, I don't think I've ever caught one of those.

Meeker is a great river to catch these in! However, they have small mouths and usually only go for small nymphs and small dries. They are super strong fish and the fight is well worth the time. I've caught hundreds there flyfishing.

. Definitely a good drag stripping fight! I’ve caught them on Marabou Hair jigs but smaller is better!
